| To B or Not to B: Possibly the most common American vitamin deficiency
According to the ongoing Framingham Offspring Study, almost 40% of Americans are running low on B12 2. Our modern diets simply do not provide enough essential B vitamins. B12 in particular is vitally needed in the body, but certain populations can find themselves in need of supplementation. The hallmarks are fairly common: chronic fatigue, poor mood, and cardiovascular issues are all indicators of a B-vitamin shortage. |
